How Do I Report Packaging in Sweden?

In Sweden, packaging reporting runs through the country’s extended producer responsibility (EPR) system. Producers register and report the packaging they place on the Swedish market, typically through a producer-responsibility organisation operating under the oversight of Naturvårdsverket, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU) 2025/40 (PPWR) sets the EU-wide framework, but this reporting remains national.

The Swedish system operates in Swedish, so plan for the registration and reporting to be conducted in the language.
