About Us
PrestaShop Compliance is an independent, editorially-driven resource that helps online sellers make sense of the fast-changing world of EU product-compliance law. We were created for a simple reason: the rules that govern selling physical products in Europe have exploded in complexity, and the official texts are written for lawyers — not for the shop owner packing orders on a Tuesday afternoon.
Our job is to close that gap. We read the regulations, the guidance notes and the national transpositions so you don’t have to, and then we explain what actually matters for your store in plain language.

To make EU compliance understandable and achievable for every online merchant — regardless of whether you run a one-person PrestaShop store or manage a catalogue of thousands of SKUs across multiple marketplaces.

How we research our guides
Every guide starts from primary sources — the official EU regulations on EUR-Lex, European Commission guidance, and the national authorities responsible for enforcement. We link back to those sources so you can verify everything for yourself. When the law is ambiguous or still being interpreted, we say so plainly rather than pretending there is a tidy answer.
We review our most important guides regularly and stamp them with a “last updated” date so you always know how current the information is.
Free tools built for merchants
Alongside our written guides we build free interactive tools to turn theory into action — including a GPSR readiness checker, a PPWR packaging checker, an EU law finder, a fine & penalty calculator, compliance timelines and a full store audit. PrestaShop Compliance is independent and free to read. To keep it that way, the site is supported by advertising. Advertising never influences our editorial guidance — our recommendations are based solely on the law and what we believe is genuinely useful to merchants.
